Women’s Rights Network
We are a network of women from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland with one main focus: to defend the sex-based rights of women. We are not aligned to any political party - we are women of all political persuasions and none. Our position is "Respect My Sex" - we support candidates who understand the rights and needs of women, regardless of party.WRN has around 60 geographical groups, with more than 1200 members. Our members are of all ages, sexual orientation, races, disability, employment status and socio-economic backgrounds. Some of us are parents and/or carers. We have differing religious beliefs. But, we are all committed to free speech and to putting the sex based needs of women and girls first. And we are all women - adult human females. Our groups offer a safe space to talk freely and compassionately. We provide support to one another and campaign for evidence-based solutions to stop the erasure of our sex-based rights. Join Us! New groups are forming all the time and new members are always welcome.Want to learn more? Sports Shorts from WRN - Episode 5
Sports Shorts from WRN brings you all the latest on our campaigns and women's sports news, together with our weekly features, "sin bin" and "star of the week".
In this week's episode there are shocking revelations from WRN's Leisure Centre report, highlighting the policies which disadvantage women and put them at risk, and invite you to contact us with your concerns.
The team speak to Lynne Pinches, one year on from her dramatic walkout at the Women's Champion of Champions pool tournament, and we hear her very personal story of the ways in which standing up for fairness in her sport has affected her.
In the sin bin this week, we call out a Government minister, and our star of the week has written a powerful piece on the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), and their new transgender policy.
